Established in 2006, it integrates researchers from the “Insect Vectors of Plant Pathogens Group (IVPP)” together with the Centro Iberoamericano de Biodiversidad (CIBIO) and the University of Alicante.

The Unit focuses in studies on the taxonomy, biology and behaviour of phytophagous insects and their natural enemies to provide practical solutions and enhance biological control of insect vectors of plant pathogens.
