Established in 2009, it integrates researchers from the IVPP Group together with members of the Unidad de Protección de Cultivos of E.T.S.I. Agrónomos (UPM).

The objective is to generate and apply fundamental knowledge on insect ecology and novel management strategies based on habitat manipulation to enhance pest control and the conservation of biodiversity in agricultural ecosystems. This Associated Unit focuses on the development of new physical and cultural environmentally-friendly control strategies of insect vectors of plant disease.
